Asparagus - bunch


What is early summer without asparagus? NZ grown, conventionally grown.

One of our family's special occasion asparagus dishes: blanch asparagus for a couple of minutes in boiling water, pat dry. Lightly brush with oil, then bbq quickly until you've got some nice colour - but still crunchy. Dress with olive oil, lemon juice, finely chopped garlic, salt & cracked pepper, finely diced red chilli, fried diced bacon and toasted pinenuts. Well worth the effort - your friends will be impressed!
