FAQ

Q: Where can I buy your produce?
A: You can find our produce at these locations:
- Sabato Mt Eden/Newmarket
- 4 FARRO stores: Grey Lynn, Mairangi Bay (Constellation Dr), Smales Farm, Mt Wellington
- Fruitworld Silverdale
- OMGoodness Bakery Silverdale
- www.ooooby.co.nz
- The Superette, Omaha Beach
- Matakana Smokehouse Shopette

Q: Why aren't you attending Matakana Village Farmer's Market at the moment?
A: We've stepped back from our weekly spot at the farmer's market. Winter is a good time to take some time away from the market to recoup and reconnect with family and friends and get some work done on expanding our market gardens ready for another busy summer.

Q: Do you courier your produce?
A: No. We are 40 minutes drive from the closest courier depot pickup. It's not efficient for us to pack and drive orders to the depot. Selling our produce at our stockists is a more efficient way for us to sell our produce.

Q: What crops do you grow?
A: Good question! We are the salad people! We aim to grow the best salads our customers can find. Year round we produce our award winning salads including Babyleaf w edible flowers, Mixed Lettuce leaf salad and Miner's lettuce and Rocket salad. During warmer months we also grow: San Marzano style tomatoes, Blue Lake Runner beans, Cornito capsicums and Lebanese zucchini. To find out more, subscribe to our farm updates and stories and follow us on facebook or instagram to keep up to date with what's in season, crop planting, harvesting and what it's like living on our small farm.

Q: Are you organic?
A: We use no harmful sprays or synthetic inputs. All inputs we use are approved for use in organic gardening. We are not certified organic. More information on how we grow can be found in 'This is how we do it'.

Q: What packaging do you use?
A: We use home-compostable/worm-farm-friendly bags to package our salads. More info about packaging at 'This is how we do it'.

Q: Do you run farm visits?
A: This is something we've always talked about doing in the future. In reality it's never eventuated because, quite frankly we tend to work over 6 days a week, just keeping up with our regular workload. Follow us on facebook or instagram for updates.
